pv magazine publishes monthly and quarterly magazines in English and German and operates industry news channels covering specific markets (Global, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, USA, Brazil, Mexico, LatAm, China, Australia, and India). We report on developments in the global solar PV and energy storage industries, solar-related green hydrogen generation and heating systems (heat pumps), and regional solar PV and storage markets. Articles include, among others, new products and technologies, new policy developments, and markets. pv magazine also has an established and successful international events portfolio to deep-dive into key industry topics.
We are looking for
pv magazine USA is looking for a Junior Marketing Manager (f/m/d) to join our U.S. team remotely. We are looking for someone U.S.-based with a strong foundation in digital marketing. Part of your responsibilities will be implementing digital marketing strategies, analyzing performance data, and managing our social media presence. In this position, you will work closely with the U.S. team, including our editorial and business development teams. You will report to both the Team Lead, Marketing, and our Country Manager for U.S. operations.
Your responsibilities
  • Digital Marketing: Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including paid search, display, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Social Media Management: Develop and manage content for social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and LinkedIn. Engage with our readers, monitor trends, and drive brand awareness.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the North American market. Use findings to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Events, and Editorial, to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment of marketing efforts with overall business goals.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Regularly report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing detailed analysis and actionable insights to improve future efforts.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all marketing activities are consistent with brand guidelines and communicate a unified message across all channels.
  • GA4 Implementation & Analysis: Utilize Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to track and analyze website traffic, user behavior, and campaign performance. Provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness.
Your profile
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Additional coursework or certifications in digital marketing, content creation, or project management are a plus.
Experience: 
  • 1-2 years of digital marketing experience, focusing on North American markets. Internships or part-time roles are considered valuable experience.
  • Familiarity with the renewable energy sector or B2B publishing is advantageous but optional.
Skills:
  • Strong writing and editing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and tools, including content scheduling, analytics, and best practices for content creation and engagement.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and experience with data-driven marketing.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles, including SEO, email marketing, and content marketing.
  • Solid knowledge of WordPress, Canva, MS Office, and MailChimp, and an affinity for new technologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English. Other languages will be viewed favorably.
